In 1938 an Electric Foil Prototype wins a contest call made by the International Fencing Federation to revolutionize fencing worldwide: it's the prototype from Ing. Sergio Carmina. A passionate Fencer and a visionary Engineer, mr. Carmina's invention would be definitely adopted worldwide in 1952 and it still constitutes the technical benchmark upon which modern foil is based nowadays. At the same time as the patent got registered, Mr. Carmina and his longtime friend Mr. Lucio Marini would register Carmimari. Sergio's daughter Emma would continue is legacy until present days, committed to bring innovation and creativity into the Discipline of Fencing.
